BTW, someone in Charlottesville recently listed an exceptionally nice red 560SL for a good price. If I wasn’t blissfully happy with my chocolate 450SL I’d jump on it. BTW 2, I’m looking to sell my wife’s outstanding ‘89 260E with a mere 95,000 miles. That’s less than 5,000/year. We want an S or E series AWD station wagon for no more than $10k. 1992 400E, siver/gray, black leather, 144,000 miles. Perfect condition. Just inspected. I have had this car since early 1995 when it came off lease at 25,000 miles. All scheduled maintenance (every 15,000) miles has been performed. Additionally, in OCT. 2008, CROSSROADS Mercedes performed $7k extensive preventative maintenance, i.e. replaced most gaskets, engine mounts, suspension bushings, ignition harness, engine mounts, etc. This car was initially manufactored for the German autobahn before being imported to the U.S. It has a 280 HP V-8 and is extremely fast. cruises at 70 MPH at 2200 RPM. 18 mpg in city & 25 mpg highway.
